Cafe Qwensel part 2

We made different ideas with different pinterest boards about Cafe Qwensel.

We made different types of photo set ups.

• flat lay 
• person and cake with back ground setting 
• product with photo taken from the side 

We did also start to take our first photos of the cakes and dougnats with this old vintage china.

Sustainable fachion

We are going to make 7 product photography pictures for --->https://www.tankay.co/ whos clothes are hand crafted ethical clothes witch are made in Pakistan. 

We are making two styles of photos one with only clothes and one series of photos with the clothes one a model. The clothes we take pictures of are meant to get to publich one a web store named Weecos --> https://www.weecos.com/en
We made a test shoot with girls from our class ass models. We are also going to extract 2 pictures with clothing from in front and one from behind. With model from behind , front and both sides.

Time travel

Our next client work will be for Cafe Qwensel witch is a historical museum coffee shop from 1700 century. https://www.cafeqwensel.fi/

They bake everything from the beginning and everything is usually local food or baked from seasonal products. 

We started to plan some set - ups for photoshoots. We are probably going to photograph the cakes , pies and some doughnuts. Using maybe something vintage, rustic and decorating with flowers or fruits.

Practice and more practice 

We did go for the round 101 with our product photography shooting, the first second roud we made with sea shells and a lot of different elemens that you could not really pay attencion to the product that is meant to be sold.

This time we made it a bit more minimalistic and made it a bit more calm.

We did use the sunlight in those pictures and it did came out pretty good this time.

The spring sunlight

we did think we got a brilliant idea with my class mate Jessica to shoot the products in the sun light.  Or at least WE think we did. 

We did try different things to play with the camera and the sun light. We tried product to the right and empty space to the right and then product down and empty space up. I personally love empty space in all kind of photography because you can then have a better image of the environment. 

Other thing i personally like is the sun light because i like to take outside pictures. I like to shoot 1 am and play with the sun when it gets down. 

This pictures nr 1 is edited in light room and nr 2 is not edited.  They did not pas the assignment because the light is not in balance and you cant even fix it in the light room photo shop to make it plane. The sunlight  makes the bottle look dirty and the picture to look unprofessional.

I do understand in all means that this is a product photography practise and this picture should sell. 

I did like the pictures because i think instagram pictures should look tempting and pretty. 

I also like more the creative side of photography , to create something new like not the most common angle of view or pictures you see that everyone has.

I will tell you a bit about the company Ruohonjuuri, we are making our product pictures for them.

I cant tell you enough how exited i am because this is probably one of my favorite store where i do shop too MUCH. 

So the main values of the company are environmentally responsible, organic , fair trade products. 

The company is establiches in 1982 , now they have 11 stores 4 in Helsinki , one in Turku , two on Espoo and also in Jyväskylä,Tampere and Oulu. 

Also they oppened one in Sweeden in january 2108. They have a web store https://www.ruohonjuuri.fi <--- shop here.

• The store have a high selection of organic pampering skin care products as oils and other creams.

• All the right tools for o good vegan meal and high quality organic foods

We don`t have a planeth B part 2

Now when we have had picked up all the wonderful products that we are supposed to shoot for Ruohonjuuri. We got orders in witch product or brand they want us to shoot first for their instagram account and then we got free hands from there. 

We had the idea to use elements from nature, we did think that it would fit their brand witch is all kind of organic products. 

Then we started the day to go out and pic up some branches and anything nice we could find from the forest ( witch is actually just outside the school no real forest at all ). We also did by some yellow tulips to bring Easter feeling in some photos.  

Then we did put up our photography set up , using lights , a old door , rustic coffin cover and the decorations.  We also did try out with a reflective background and a pastel pink back ground. 

We did try out and test to shoot with different settings using Nikon camera. We started with a smaller F number witch was first F2,8, F5 and then in the end we did go for i bit higher F number and most of the pictures i did take was with F 5 or F 8 , also tried different positions to shoot because it was bit challenging with the reflections in one background we did use.

Easter vibes

We had a a assignment with me class mate Anniina to shoot product photography. 
So we had to list up all the interests we have in common. we had several interest but to name a few. 

1. decor 
2. fashion
3. food 
4. art 
5. pottery 
6. ethicality

Then we did have to choose one of them that we have most in common. It did happened to be ethicality and from that we did made a new list of things around that area of our common interests. 

1. vintage clothes 
2. second hand clothes 
3. organic cosmetics

Then we had a discussion about different companys and after a while we did decide to go with a company we both like called Ruohonjuuri witch is a company who sell a lot of different organic stiuff like organic cosmetics that we did pic ass our nr 1 interest here.

After that we made different pinterest boards where we made different options how to photograf the products that we did pic. 

Ihminen ja kosmetiikka 

Was the first idea and it means "human and cosmetics" where we did think that we could have a human hand that holds the product in the hand or a mirror where the hand reflects. 

Kosmetiikka vaalealla taustalla 

Means cosmetics one a light back ground. Where we imagine light back ground with natural elements like birch branches or reed. 

Valuvakosmetiikka

means like liquid cosmetics we planned if we could open the prodducts that we could well them from the bottlles. LIke eye shaddows or creams.

Kosmatiikka ja Somisteita 

We did plan one board with cosmetics and just different kind of decorations it could be flowers , honey or coffe beans anycaind of natural element that the procudct represent.
